MUNAY is a series of nine acrylic paintings on Fabriano paper that explores the Andean concept of Munay—the force of the heart to love, to desire, to will, and to direct intention. Within Andean cosmology, these are not separate emotions or faculties but manifestations of a single living energy that shapes relationships between individuals, communities, and the natural world. Through a restrained geometric vocabulary, the series investigates how invisible forces can be translated into spatial form, where distance, orientation, color, and proportion become expressions of emotional and spiritual dynamics.

Across the nine paintings, four geometric volumes remain in constant dialogue. Their positions gradually transform, suggesting a sequence rather than isolated compositions: recognition, attraction, approach, tension, convergence, and finally illumination. The empty center is never a void but an active field where relationships emerge. As the series unfolds, geometry ceases to function as a static structure and becomes a visual language of movement and energetic exchange. The changing chromatic environments reinforce this progression, allowing each painting to evoke a distinct state of resonance while remaining part of a coherent whole.

Rather than illustrating Andean cosmology, MUNAY translates one of its fundamental principles into contemporary abstraction. The series proposes that reality is sustained not only by physical matter but also by intention and relational energy. Through precise forms, luminous color, and carefully balanced spatial compositions, the paintings invite contemplation of the invisible forces that connect beings beyond language. Munay becomes both subject and method: an exploration of how love, intention, and inner illumination can be experienced through geometry, color, and space.
